Special October 7th Town Hall Part 1 Event with Editor and Contributor John K. Roth.

Event Announcement: The Israel-Hamas War and Christian-Jewish Relations
You are invited to a critical and timely discussion that defines the current moment.

Host Jennifer Wyman speaks with acclaimed Holocaust scholar John K. Roth regarding his urgent new book, Stress Test: The Israel-Hamas War and Christian-Jewish Relations.

This is Episode 1: The foundational installment of a multi-part series dedicated to a sober, scholarly examination of the profound rupture the current conflict has caused within Christian-Jewish dialogue.

Professor Roth offers a necessary, unflinching analysis of how the war is reshaping alliances, challenging historical narratives, and placing decades of interfaith progress under intense pressure.

Join us for a rigorous and essential conversation.

Community Impact to Inspire Social Change:

Stress Test helps communities have the hard conversations. In the middle of the Israel-Hamas war and the growing crisis in Gaza, people are overwhelmed, angry, grieving, and confused. This book creates space for honest, compassionate dialogue between Christians and Jews, helping readers think more clearly and speak more respectfully in divided times. It’s used in classrooms, faith groups, and book clubs to unpack inherited biases and ask better questions about justice, empathy, and peace. By encouraging critical thinking and genuine connection, Stress Test supports the community-building that nonprofits like ours strive to achieve.

Join Hirshel Jaffe's Town Hall Meeting #1: Why (Not) Me?

Searching for God When We Suffer

Watch Town Hall Series #1 on YouTube

We warmly invite you to a free Zoom Town Hall on Sunday, May 18, at 4:00 PM EST. We will be blessed to hear from Hirshel Jaffe, co-author of the moving memoir Why Not Me: Searching for God When We Suffer.

Rabbi Jaffe, a five-time cancer survivor affectionately known as the "Running Rabbi," has lived a life of extraordinary courage, faith, and resilience. He faced a life-threatening cancer diagnosis, battled through a long and difficult recovery, and came through it with a more profound sense of spiritual purpose—one he generously shares in his powerful book.

In addition to his personal story of survival and faith, Hirshel Jaffe is known for his advocacy for justice and human rights. He visited the 52 hostages in Iran portrayed in the BBC Persian documentary, A Call from the Hostage Takers. Upon their return, he received the Award of Courage from President Reagan, who invited him to welcome the freed Americans in a White House welcome ceremony.

This will be more than a book talk—it will be a heartfelt conversation about where we find God in times of suffering, how faith sustains us in the darkest valleys, and the strength of the human spirit. Whether you've experienced personal hardship, are supporting others through theirs, or want to be inspired by a life of purpose, this is an event you won't want to miss.
