September 2021: We are tremendously saddened by the passing of our dear friend and global connection contributor, Dr. Antony Fernando. He and his wife, Sumana Fernando, were our first authors, besides our founder, and they will live in iPub's collective hearts forever. He freely shared his wisdom and benevolence with all of his readers and students; he will be profoundly missed.
Antony Fernando, ThD, Ph.D., was a prolific author on subjects related to interfaith spiritualism. Born into a Catholic family, Professor Fernando’s body of works focused on divining the spiritual instead of the congregational nature of Catholicism and Buddhism. A native of Sri Lanka, Professor Fernando was also a strong advocate for adopting English as a second language in the island nation. Following his retirement from a prominent Sri Lankan University at 65 years of age, Dr. Fernando continued his writing, claiming fourteen published works.
